Best Beauty Salons in Treviso

Treviso is a quiet little town less than 30 minutes from Venice Mestre. Known as little Venice, it belonged to the Venetian empire and a world away from the overflowing streets of Venice. While it cannot compare to its big sister in grandeur, its small town charm and affordability makes it a tranquil escape for those tired of the crowds of Venice.
Surrounded on one side by lush greenery, and on the other by the distant hum of city life, Treviso’s walls come alive as the sun begins to set. Now topped by well-manicured gravel pathways and spatterings of shady trees, these walls date back to medieval times, reaching around the heart of the city. So the next time you take the cheapo route to Venice, why not leave the shuttle bus for another day? - Beauty Salon :

I’ve talked to you before about eating like a local in Italy, and one central aspect of that is eating fresh and local. Eating seasonal and traditional dishes isn’t just an option here, it’s the standard. If you’ll be in town for a couple of days, consider renting a bicycle. While traveling Venice is worthwhile, overcrowding is a real issue there and you can feel a bit lost in the masses.

Don’t miss the Piazza dei Signori with its palaces, the Calmaggiore arcades, the Romanesque-style cathedral and the Gothic-style church of San Nicolò. You can enjoy a beautiful walk along the walls or, just outside the city, along the banks of the Sile river. And with Fresha, there's really no better way to do it.

The busy fish market which consumes the entire island still runs almost every morning (it’s completely shut by lunch so be sure to arrive early). Even if you’re not out to buy anything yourself, the market is still a fascinating place to visit and watch the local buyers haggle their way around the many traders. Treviso gets more rain than London but has fewer rainy days.
As such, they don’t support gondolas or other boat traffic. Entire aquatic ecosystems seem to thrive here, from an abundance of plant life to waterfowl to majestic swans. Treviso’s canals are so full of plants, in fact, that many of them have a distinctive glassy, emerald look to them.
The older planetarium recreates the natural movement of the Earth, Moon, Mercury, and Venus, the apparent motion of the Sun in relation to the Zodiac, and several other different space phases. Although an Allied bomb heavily damaged the building during World War II, the city saved the historic structure from demolition due to its surviving frescos. The beautiful Chiesa di San Francesco was completed in 1270; all of the most prominent families in the city had their own chapel here. Later used as a monastery and barracks, the building underwent extensive restoration to become the museum it is today. In collaboration with Museo di Santa Caterina and Casa Robegan, this museum preserves the city’s history through its collections. Although the historic building was severely neglected, it was restored over several years, starting in 2017.

I spill all my travel tips and secrets here to help you plan your trip. This entry was posted in Europe and tagged Day trip, veneto. Across from the piazza are the Church of St Vito and St Lucia. These are actually two churches, St Vito and St Lucia.
The fun part is looking through all the appointments available and seeing if something new grabs your attention. Follow the percorso dei mulini to discover the city’s four main water wheels, which still function to this day. As for art, you can find it all over town on frescoed house façades, their once brilliant colours faded to a chalky softness. There’s an Annunciation by Titian in the seven-domed cathedral . Treviso is proud of its links with Giotto’s follower Tommaso da Modena, and the Santa Caterina museum devotes a vaulted hall to his fresco cycle of the life of St Ursula.
As normal in Italy, the tourist office and churches are usually closed at lunchtime. The tourist office reopens at 2pm, the churches at around 3.30pm. For a cheap self-service lunch, I recommend the branch of Brek on Corso del Popolo. These cheap restaurants, spread through northern Italy, offer good cheap food, with choices of pasta, salads and ‘main’ meat dishes and wine on tap.
